NY Pick 10 Prize Tiers and Winning Odds
To win a prize in New York Pick 10, you either have to match none of the numbers that are drawn or at least six of them. There are 20 winning numbers in each draw, even though you only pick 10, which gives you a better chance of matching more.
You need to match all 10 of your selected numbers to get the jackpot of half a million dollars. You'll receive the same payout even if there are multiple winners. It is only in very circumstances - when there are more than 10 jackpot winners - that the prize would be reduced. In this situation, winners would share a total prize fund of $5 million.
All prize amounts are fixed, so you know exactly how much you will be paid out for winning. If you don't match any numbers, you'll get $4 - a good return for a $1 play.
