New York Pick 10 is a daily draw game which gives you the chance to win up to $500,000. It's fun and easy to take part, especially if you order tickets online, and there are lots of different ways to win even if you don't match all the numbers you choose. You even get a payout if you match none of the winning numbers, and the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 17.
How to Play NY Pick 10
To play NY Pick 10, select your numbers between 1 and 80. You can choose your own 10 numbers, or get a Quick Pick if you are happy to play a random selection. The computer will generate them at the point of purchase.
Fill out more than one game panel if you want to enter multiple sets of numbers, then decide how many consecutive draws to play. The Multi-Draw option allows you to enter up to seven in a row.
There are thousands of New York Lottery retailers where you can play Pick 10, and you can either give your playslip to the store clerk or put it into the vending machine to get your ticket. If you have a ticket from the last 30 days, you can also 'Play It Again' and get a new ticket with all the same selections. The cost is $1 per play.
An alternative to visiting a retailer is to order tickets online, which allows you to play from home or without going out of your way. This also gives you the security of knowing that your numbers cannot get lost or damaged as there is a digital record in your account.
Pick 10 Draws
Pick 10 draws take place every day at 8:30pm ET, with ticket sales stopping half an hour earlier at 8:00pm.
In the draw, 20 winning numbers are selected rather than 10. This gives you a better chance of matching all or some of the numbers you have played. Draws take place using a traditional lottery machine. There are three sets of balls, which are changed every two months.
