How A Woman From Panama Won $30 Million Florida Lotto Jackpot
A lucky lady from Panama has shown how it is possible to win huge international lottery jackpots from abroad after claiming a $30 million Florida Lotto prize. Aura Dominguez Canto scooped the life-changing amount of money on 19th July without even having to leave her country, and will now finally be able to retire at the age of 60.
Aura played through theLotter, a lottery messenger (or concierge) service. theLotter allows lottery fans from around the world to choose their numbers online, and then sends out local agents in the country or state where the game is based to buy tickets on their behalf.
Players are then notified of any prizes they win and lower tier awards are paid out automatically. In Aura’s case, she travelled to the Florida Lotto headquarters in Tallahassee to claim her jackpot prize, and details of her story have now been revealed. Aura recalled: “I received an email, then they called me twice. They told me I am the winner, be confident, don’t worry, they’ll take care of everything.”
Aura had decided to give Florida Lotto a go after being inspired by an article about the UK’s teenage EuroMillions winner Jane Park. She had only been playing for a couple of months when her numbers, 3, 10, 20, 29, 35 and 50, came up, and she admitted it was a huge shock when she was contacted by theLotter.
Aura has worked hard throughout her life to support her children, but is now looking forward to a rest. She said: “I would like to help people. Everyone has dreams. Now, life has changed. No more work. Thanks God for that.
Lottery messenger services such as theLotter have created thousands of big winners over the last few years, including the man from Baghdad who pocketed $6.4 million in a 2015 Oregon Megabucks draw and players from all over the world. It has become an increasingly popular method of enjoying lottery games, and you can now try to win jackpots from wherever you are. Take a look at the Tickets page to find out more.
